Our History

Timberwolf Lodge has been offering quality fishing vacations for over 40 years.

Originally built by the Liddle family in 1975 and designed as an upscale American Plan full service lodge, which we are proud to say, it still is today. The Liddle family name has been synonymous with high quality fishing experiences in Northern Ontario for decades. Their passion and enthusiasm for the Northern Ontario lifestyle has seen three generations build and operate premier lodges beginning in 1960. It was with great pride they built this jewel in the heart of beautiful Algoma Country and its with great pride we operate it today.

Roger and David ran the business very successfully until the late 90’s when it was purchased by long time tourism operators Jim and Helen Chisholm.

Gary and Cindy purchased the lodge in 2007 and continue to operate Timberwolf, maintaining the high quality service and experience that was envisioned back in 1975. Timberwolf is a true labour of love of Cindy and Gary, and through their hard work Timberwolf’s reputation as class A full service lodge is a badge they wear with great pride.
