Perch & Whitefish

Perch in Nagagami Lake can be elusive, but if you find a school the fishing can be fast & furious . Mainly found holding in shallow water around weed beds, using a small 1/8 oz jigĀ  with a live minnow or twister tail, is the prefered choice. In the spring whitefish are usually caught while jigging for walleye with live bait. As the season progresses they tend to school in deep water and remain there till late fall when they start migrating to the rivers to spawn. Fresh whitefish make great table fare, perfect with walleye for shore lunch.
